These words are not even in the dictionary, but it’s the most common words used when people give presentations. They are: “ah” and “um” If you use these words, many negative things happen. 1 – It’s distracting to your audience, 2 – You appear less confident of your topic, 3 – Your audience cannot keep up with you because most likely you are not pausing and you are talking non-stop. The most common public speaking words -“ah” and “um” are used as filler words. Next time you feel and “ah” or “um” coming on, just say nothing and pause
