Fireworks
July is a time for fireworks, it’s a time of celebration, and it’s a time of enjoying and appreciating all that we have in the USA.
When you have an opportunity to speak in front of others, you have an opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise with others who will benefit from it. That’s a great reason to celebrate and appreciate what you have. When you present, it’s not about you, it’s about your audience. It’s about giving your audience something they can benefit from. It doesn’t matter what the purpose of your presentation is, it’s always about helping the audience. If you are selling a product or a service it’s not about you making a sale; it’s about having that product or service improve the lives of the buyer.
Stop worrying about what the audience thinks of you and focus on helping the audience by sharing your knowledge and expertise. In order to keep their attention and have a great impact on them, be sure to give them some fire works!
Here’s what I mean. Open with a bang, close with a bigger bang, and in the middle have something interesting to say to keep your audience engaged. In other words, have a strong opening to grab their attention, tell some interesting stories that hone your message include vocal variety, body language, and emotion to add excitement and have a strong closing.
