Public Speaking and Dating

For many years I ran a singles club. People would meet at an event and if they hit it off they would go out on a date. If there was never a second date, here is what I heard them say:

"She didn't appear very confident. I didn't like the way he dressed. He/she was just way too boring."

Funny, now that I teach public speaking people are always sharing with me their experiences of the speaker they recently saw. They say things like, "he/she was boring, they lacked confidence, and they didn't dress very professional."

These three things are important in dating, in public speaking, and in all areas of your life.

Appear confident, dress for success, and bring your most dynamic personality everywhere you go.
